What is a glycol refractometer?
The refractometer is an optical meter that can quickly and accurately measure the (frost) protection level of coolants and anti-freeze based on Ethylene Glycol or Propylene Glycol. Often used for measurements on engines, cooling systems or braking systems. The instrument has 2 accurate and clearly legible scales, namely:
Polyethylene: for determining the (frost) protection degree on a wide scale from -60°C to 0°C (resolution: 5°C, Precision: 5°C)) Propylene glycol: for determining the frost protection degree from -50°C to 0°C (resolution: 5°C, precision: 5°C) The refractometer is equipped with ATC (Automatic Temperature Correction). Due to this automatic correction, the most accurate measurement is always available, without having to take the temperature of the liquid itself into account.
High contrast and therefore clearly legible Eyepiece is adjustable in sharpness. ATC (Automatic Temperature Compensation)
